Sum 41 guitarist Dave Baksh quits band
May 14, 2006, 12:26 pmSum 41’s guitarist Dave “Brownsound” Baksh has quit the group to focus on his new metal band and because of creative differences as he explained in a statement released by Upper Management.
“I couldn’t continue on creatively in Sum 41 without being a thorn in the side of the band. As people grow, they change. All I can ask is that our fans understand and accept my thanks for being there for me whenever I was feeling happy, sad or depressed.
The first thing Steve [Jocz], Cone [McCaslin] and Deryck [Whibley] told me was that they just want me to be happy. It was awesome to hear that we all had the same feelings. We are brothers, and no matter what, they are Sum 41 and they will make an incredible album! Peace love and all of the above.”

Xtina plans her new video shoot

Christina Aguilera is a real artist
March 8, 2006, 9:37 pmChristina Aguilera has said that she isn’t a fan of the new pop acts (Lindsay Lohan wasn’t mentioned but it’s obvious) because they are all about the celebrity and not about the music.
“I’m on a different schedule to the new girls. I hide out for a year in my studio. I’m not naming names, but it’s more about the party scene with some of those girls than doing anything creative.”

Xtina’s new album has a softer side

It has a 1940s feel I am most proud of. There’s still scope for the wild Christina in me. I can still be a bit naughty, but not as much.

Britney wants her pop crown back
February 18, 2006, 2:51 pmBritney plans to get back to work to re-claim her crown as pop queen because of all the crap she is hearing at the moment.
She told People magazine “I haven’t seen anybody out there who has had a performance where I’m like, ‘That’s f**king awesome.’ It’s been boring.”
“This may sound weird, but I miss travelling. I miss the road… I needed a break. I needed to be hungry again.”
“I used to listen to blues music and all that stuff. I would like to try to have more influences of that sound. Not that I’m going to be like frickin’ Tina Turner, but you never know.”

Jessica Simpson signs new record deal
February 4, 2006, 7:35 pmJessica Simpson has signed a new $35 million deal with her record label, Columbia Records.
A spokesperson for the label said “Jessica Simpson is one of the most consistent, hard-working artists we have on our roster. She really has earned this deal. But this wasn’t an exchange of money for guaranteed anything.”

Hilary Duff cancels for the first time ever
January 29, 2006, 12:32 amHilary Duff has cancelled a concert for the first time ever. Her concert scheduled to take place last night at St. John’s was pulled by the promoter just 10 hours before it was due to start because equipment being shipped from New Jersey was delayed by bad weather.

K-Fred records songs, won’t release them
January 15, 2006, 3:38 pmKevin Federline has recorded a string of new songs with wife Britney but said he won’t release them until after his (or if rather) debut album becomes a success as he doesn’t want to be signed to a record label just on the basis of them wanting access to the new Britney material.
